World AIDS Day 2012

30-11-2012

For an AIDS-free generation

December the 1st is World AIDS Day and for that occasion the Advocacy Group on AIDS implements events in Yerevan and invites everyone to take active participation and promote HIV prevention and awareness raising in the country.

Events will start with a press conference at 11am, which will be held in “Noyan Tapan” news agency (Isahakyan 28, 3rd floor) on the topic of “HIV/AIDS and Human Rights”. The speakers are representatives of “Real World, Real People”, “Positive People Armenian Network”, “Public Information and Need of Knowledge” NGOs and the Legal Clinic project. Arman Nshanyan and Sos Janibekyan are also invited to the press conference.

Afterwards, from 2 – 4pm, we invite you to Charles Aznavour Square (nearby to Moscow cinema) to take part in the interactive game devoted to World AIDS Day, during which participants will be asked thematic questions and those who answer correctly will have an opportunity to take a photo with celebrities. The photos will be immediately uploaded to the HIV/AIDS and human rights Facebook page.

On the same day, at 5pm, a movie screening entitled “I am+” will be held in Chamber Music Hall and letters of gratitude from people living with HIV will be given to those who have ever provided their specialized support to people living with HIV and their families, mercifully provided services, and supported those in overcoming their problems.
Come and join the World AIDS Day Movement!
