International Volunteers Day

05-12-2012

December 5 is International Volunteer Day. On December 5, 1985, UN General Assembly suggested governments to celebrate this day every year as International Volunteer Day for Economic and Social Development.
Every year more than thirty volunteers get involved in our organization’s activities. Among them there are international volunteers from such renowned universities of Europe and US as Lund University (Sweden), Durham University (UK), Duke and Columbia Universities (US). Our international volunteers contributed with their knowledge and skills for realization and development of tolerance, diversity, respect and human rights.
With great love and gratitude we congratulate and thank both the international and local volunteers of “Public Information and Need of Knowledge” NGO for their support in the activities of the organization and efforts.
Let the recognition of volunteer activities become more expanded and let their involvement in the process of developing the civil society be encouraged for the welfare of the country.
